GamePigeon on Android: Free Game Finder
Tap a game, play it on both phones.
Quick answer
GamePigeon only runs in iMessage, so it does not work on Android. But you can still play almost every GamePigeon game between an iPhone and an Android phone: free browser rooms on playboardgames.org cover 8-Ball, Mini Golf, Darts, Sea Battle, Four in a Row and 13 more, WordBlock covers Word Hunt, Lichess covers Chess, and Cupie lets you play Minigolf and Four in a Row live on a video call, with Pool and Cup Pong as your call streak grows.
GamePigeon does not work on Android, but almost every GamePigeon game does. Tap the game you miss above and you get a free way to play it between an iPhone and an Android phone today: a browser room your partner opens from a link, the same game live on a video call in Cupie, or an app that is on both stores. Then tap Send and they get a message with the link, ready to play.
How does the finder work?
- Set both phones. Your phone and theirs. If you both have an iPhone, GamePigeon still works for you, and the finder shows ways to play face to face too.
- Tap the game. All 24 GamePigeon games are there, from Word Hunt and 8-Ball to Filler. Type "pool", "beer pong" or "boggle" to find one fast.
- Pick an option. The best match comes first. Browser options open in Safari or Chrome with no download and no account.
- Send it. One tap writes the message for you, with the link and what to tap. Save the games you play most with the heart.
Which GamePigeon games can you play iPhone to Android?
We checked every option in November 2026. "Free in the browser" means the page has a two-player mode where your partner joins from a link or a short code, with no sign-up.

Can you play Word Hunt with an Android user?
Not in GamePigeon. Word Hunt lives inside iMessage, so an Android phone never sees the game. The closest free match is WordBlock's Party Play: you make a private room, pick the 4x4 board and a timer, and your partner joins from a link or a 6-character code. You swipe through touching letters like in GamePigeon. LexiClash works the same way if you want a second board.
Can you play Cup Pong and 8-Ball between iPhone and Android?
Yes. For 8-Ball, the free 8-Ball page on playboardgames.org has an "A friend online" mode, and the Miniclip 8 Ball Pool app is on both stores. For Cup Pong, we found no free browser version that lets two people play by link, so the real options are apps: Cup Pong in Plato (rated 18+ on the App Store), or Cup Pong in Cupie, where you see each other while you throw. In Cupie, Cup Pong unlocks as your call streak grows; Minigolf and Four in a Row work from the first call.
What about OpenPigeon and Mac bridges?
OpenPigeon is an unofficial Android app that can play GamePigeon games, but it needs OpenBubbles, which needs a Mac or an always-online iPhone to set up. It is not made or supported by GamePigeon or Apple. Our full GamePigeon for Android guide explains it step by step. For most couples a link that opens in the browser is faster and safer.
What are the limits?
- We do not run the browser games. They are free sites made by others, and some show ads. We list only pages where we found a working two-player mode.
- Browser games are live: you both play at the same time. GamePigeon lets you take a turn hours later. For slow turns during the day, Lichess (chess) lets you set long time limits.
- For Filler, Paintball and the exact Word Bites game we found no free match yet, so the finder says so and shows the closest games.
- Links can change. We check them again with every update of this page.

FAQ
Is there GamePigeon for Android?
No. GamePigeon is an iMessage app for iPhone and iPad, and there is no official Android version as of November 2026. You can still play most of its games iPhone to Android in free browser rooms or in apps that are on both stores.
Can you play GamePigeon with Android users?
Not inside GamePigeon. iPhones text Android phones over RCS or SMS, and GamePigeon only appears in iMessage chats. Use the finder above to get a version of the same game that both phones can open.
Can you play Word Hunt with someone on Android?
Yes, outside GamePigeon. WordBlock Party Play lets you make a private 4x4 room with your own timer and send your partner a link or a code. It is free and opens in any phone browser.
Can you play Cup Pong on Android?
Yes, in an app. Plato has Cup Pong and is free on iPhone and Android, but it is rated 18+ on the App Store. Cupie has Cup Pong live on a video call; it unlocks as your call streak grows. We found no free browser Cup Pong you can play with a friend by link.
Can Android play 8 Ball Pool with iPhone?
Yes. The free 8-Ball page on playboardgames.org has a mode called A friend online that works in any browser, and Miniclip's 8 Ball Pool app is on both stores. In Cupie you can also play Pool on a video call.
What are the best games like GamePigeon for iPhone and Android?
For one app with many GamePigeon-style games, Plato. For playing face to face on a call, Cupie. For free games with no download, playboardgames.org, Lichess and WordBlock.
Is OpenPigeon safe?
OpenPigeon is an unofficial app on Google Play that needs OpenBubbles, which needs a Mac or an always-online iPhone. It says it is not affiliated with GamePigeon or Apple. It can work for technical users; most couples are better off with a game both phones can open.
