How Long Have We Been Together? Free Anniversary Calculator
Pick the day it started. See it in days, weeks, months or seconds, plus every milestone ahead.
Quick answer
Pick the date your relationship started, or your wedding date. The counter shows how long you have been together in years, months and days, live down to the second, and in total days, weeks, months, hours or seconds. Below it: your next anniversary, every milestone (100 days, 1,000 days, monthsaries, each year) with its date and an idea for the day, a calendar file, and a story-sized image to share.
This free anniversary calculator tells you exactly how long you have been together: years, months and days, total days, and a live count down to the second. Pick the day it started and the answer appears at once, with your next anniversary, every milestone ahead (100 days, 1,000 days, each monthsary and each year) and a share image sized for stories. No sign-up, and your date stays on your phone.
How does the counter work?
- Pick what you count. Together since (first date, the day you made it official) or Married since (your wedding day).
- Pick the date. The big number shows days together right away. Tap Weeks, Months, Years, Hours, Minutes or Seconds to switch it.
- Look at what is coming up. Your next five milestones show their date, the weekday and one small idea for the day. Tap the plus to add one to your calendar, or add the next 12 at once.
- Share it. Save the image for your story or a post, or send the link. Your partner opens the same counter on their phone, no app needed.
Counting from more than one day? Open More firsts and add your first message, first call or the day you first met in person. Each gets its own count.
Which relationship milestones does it show?
- Monthsaries in your first year, then 18 months.
- Day counts: 100, 200, 300, 500, 1,000, 1,500, 2,000, 2,500 and on to 20,000 days.
- Fun numbers: 520 days (520 sounds like "I love you" in Mandarin), 777, 1,111, 1,234, 2,222 and 3,333 days, 100,000 hours and one billion seconds, which comes after about 31 years and 8 months.
- Every anniversary up to 75 years. In Married mode each one shows its traditional theme: paper, cotton, leather, then wood at 5, tin at 10, silver at 25, gold at 50.
- Married longer than you dated: add the day you started dating under More firsts, and the counter finds the date.

How do we count days together in a long distance relationship?
Use your start date as usual, then open Long distance: days together vs apart and add each visit. The counter shows how many days you spent in the same place, how many apart, and the share of each. Many long distance couples also count from the first message or first call; add those under More firsts. Counting down to the next visit instead? Use our countdown until I see you, and see the long distance date ideas for the days in between.
How is the time together calculated?
The counter adds whole months to your start date until the next one would pass today, then counts the days left. That matches how people count anniversaries and birthdays. If you started on the 31st, shorter months use their last day, and a 29 February start date has its anniversary on 28 February in other years. Total days are counted as calendar days in your own time zone, so the number does not jump at the wrong hour. Full moons use the average cycle of 29.5 days.
What are the limits?
- Your date is saved in this browser only. On a new phone, open the link you sent to get it back.
- Anyone with your link sees the dates and names in it. Only send it to people you want to see them.
- The page does not send notifications. Use the calendar file for reminders.
- The traditional anniversary themes follow the common US list. Other countries use different ones.

FAQ
How do I calculate how long we have been together?
Pick the day your relationship started in the counter above. It counts whole years and months first, then the days left over, so 14 February 2023 to 2 November 2026 is 3 years, 8 months and 19 days, or 1,357 days. You can switch the big number to weeks, months, hours, minutes or seconds.
How many days is 1,000 days together, and when is ours?
A thousand days is about 2 years and 9 months. Enter your start date and the counter lists the exact date of your 1,000th day, the weekday it falls on, and how many days are left. It does the same for 100, 500, 520, 777, 1,111, 1,500, 2,000 and up to 20,000 days.
Does the start date count as day 1 or day 0?
The counter counts full days that have passed, the same way people count birthdays: on the day you got together it shows 0, and 100 days later is your 100th day. Some couples count the first day as day 1; if you do, add one.
What is a monthsary?
A monthsary (or monthiversary) is the same date each month in your first year, like the 14th of every month if you started on 14 February. The counter marks each one in your first year. If you started on the 31st, months with fewer days use their last day.
Can I use it for how long we have been married?
Yes. Tap Married since and pick your wedding date. You get years, months and days married, the next anniversary with its traditional theme (paper for the first, wood for the fifth, tin for the tenth), and if you add the date you started dating, the day you have been married longer than you dated.
How do I get reminders for our milestones?
Tap Add the next milestones to my calendar. It downloads one calendar file with your next 12 milestones and a reminder the day before each one. It works with Apple Calendar, Google Calendar and Outlook. The plus button next to a single milestone adds only that one.
Is our date stored anywhere?
Only on your phone. The counter saves your date in your browser so it is there next time. The link you send holds the date itself, so nothing goes to a server and there is no account.
